GIL SCOTT HERON - Free Will LP NDW a calendar1972 album by Gil Scott Heron Free Will was his last for the Flying Dutchman label and includes the stellar, anti war commentary Did You Hear What They Said nestled within an album half comprised of a mix of that warm, laid back jazz ala The Middle Of Your Day the bluesy The Get Out Of The Ghetto Blues and the pacey title track Free Will while the second half is dedicated to Gils spoken word poetry rapped against a stripped back percussion soundtrack:
