Production stopped around 1850 and the distillery fell into disrepair. In 1872 only ruins remained. Plans for a new distillery not far from the site of the old facility only emerged in 2011. Whiskey production started in January 2013. Wolfburn Aurora matured in a combination of ex bourbon and ex sherry casks for an undefined period of time. Bottled at 46
