The name of the distillery means something like "settlement on the plain". A few years ago, the whiskey range was switched from stating the vintage to the actual age. Balblair 12 Years Old matured the entire time in ex bourbon casks. Bottled at 46 vol. % alcohol, without coloring and not cold filtered.
