Pushing the lever down rotates the shaft, transmitting motion through a series of gears to the crankshaft, generating pressure in the cylinders and facilitating the air fuel mixture necessary to start the engine. Avoid using the shaft abruptly or forcefully. Push the lever firmly, without excessive force, to prevent damage to the gears. Keep the mechanism
