Description

As is usually the case this is notably more elegant than the straight Chablis with its nose of pretty citrus

This is a very impressive debut that surpasses my expectation from barrel

if less expressive at this stage than its peers

this is probably going to require at least a few years of cellaring first

which is unusual for this wine that has often been more bombastic

Joaquin, Piante Lapio Fiano Vintage:2013 As is usually the caseBtonnage and aged in chestnut and acacia. Deep honey colour. Still has some fruit admittedly in a corset of chewiness. I think I'd prefer to drink a more youthful version. But well done for trying and adding to the Fiano canon. (JR)
