The floral element comes back strong on the mineral-driven finish

A strikingly good effort for the vintage that is worth a look

Jean-Philippe Fichet, Meursault Chevalieres Vintage:2018 The floral element comes back(from extremely stony ground with very little top soil). Soft, almost airy wood spice combines with elegant and quite refined green fruit and an interesting roasted nut quality. As usual, the barely middle weight flavors cut like a knife with super minerality and the finishing delineation is notable. I have always liked what Fichet does with the wine and in 2002, it is perhaps a bit more powerful and full bodied than usual and delivers excellent
