Nerthe, Chateauneuf Du Pape Blanc Beauvenir Vintage:2015 spice and newly turned earthThe new wood has been pared back in the 2022 Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc Clos de Beauvenir, a 70 30 blend of Roussanne and Grenache Blanc aged predominantly in demi muids, with 15% going into new barriques. Hints of oaky spice accent pineapple and lime notes on the nose, while the medium to full bodied palate is rich and silky in texture, even a trifle phenolic on the finish in its youth. This should be even better in another year or two.
