Description

fresh and once again completely classic Meursault nose of hazelnut

(35+ year old vines planted in much deeper soil interspersed with lots of gravel and aged in 33% new wood)

with bits and pieces from Aux Saints Jacques

as Franchetti puts it

this spatlese is kept alive by its understated acidity

Henri Germain, Meursault Poruzots Vintage:2019 fresh and once again completely(from a . 25 ha parcel). A very deft application of wood easily allows the vaguely exotic aromas of petrol, green fruit and hazelnut to be appreciated. Here too there is excellent volume, intensity and power on the larger scaled flavors that are at once succulent yet quite serious on the decidedly firm built to age finale. This too is excellent and a wine that should effortlessly reward a decade or more of cellaring.
