This is the first wine to display any significant amount of reduction

Like many of the wines in the range though this is very clearly built-to-age and isn’t a wine that is likely to drink especially well before at least its 10th birthday

This is also markedly floral in character with its aromas of pretty red cherry

almost understated finish in context of the growing season

and assorted black fruits titillate the nose while pointing to a full-bodied

Quinta Vale Dona Maria, Vintage Size:12x750ml This is the first wineModerately saturated medium ruby. Aromas of black fruits, licorice, cocoa powder, herbs and mint. Supple and fruity, with attractive, sweet fruit of moderate depth and grip. Has decent length but the chewy tannins seem a bit strong for the wine's material. Stephen Tanzer
