Gold basket weave top and sheaths of wheat and stalks of corn tied with a pale blue ribbon on a deep red ground. English, circa 1880. H: 47 WL35 D: 35 CM. This particular design was exhibited at the London International Exhibition of 1871 and are illustrated in the 19th century ceramics reference book Llewelyn Jewitt's Ceramic Art of Great Britain.
