First produced in 1982
tension and nuance
Angelo Gaja isn’t the talkative type too often these days
the deep garnet-purple colored 2014 Thorevilos Proprietary Red has a very meaty nose with charcuterie
There is a gorgeously refined mouth feel to the medium-bodied flavors that possess fine depth as well as nicely integrated tannins on the mouth coating and attractively persistent finish
Veuve Clicquot, La Grande Dame Size:3x1.5L First produced in 1982Fine burnished gold, apt for a 30 year old Champagne alive and kicking. What impresses is the fresh Chardonnay, which balances the opulence of 1990 mature Pinot opulence. A lovely interplay of those peach & quince flavours with enlivening citrus repertoire, especially citron confit; still long & vigorous. Model post disgorgement ageing since 2003. A wine for venison and even foie gras.
