Volunteer Reserve Service Medal Campaign_Boer War to WW1 3rd September 1945 and 30thInstituted in 1999 to replace the Royal Naval Reserve Decoration, the Royal Naval Reserve Long Service and Good Conduct Medal, the Efficiency Decoration, the Efficiency Medal and the Air Efficiency Award. At the same time the period of service was reduced to 10 years. This is awarded to all ranks of the reserve forces.
