This is a real fossilized piece of wood, from the defunct Hobberlin Museum and (potentially) originally from Alberta, Canada. Dating back to the Cretaceous, this would make a great addition to any collection. The Hobberlin Museum stated that the dark portion was the result of forest fire damage, though it's a claim we cannot verify. This specimen measures ~6" tall and can be shipped worldwide.
