This is an irridescent effect in the gemstone that makes it flash blue light whenever their is a change in the angle of the light. The flashing blue light is emitted from deep within the gemstone and is quite stunning to see! Usually I do not photograph my rosaries in the sun in order to avoid harsh shadows in my photographs, but like a stained glass window, this
